When President-elect Donald Trump announced his chief strategist would be Stephen Bannon, many Americans took to social media to voice fears and concerns. According to various sources, "Bannon is the executive chairman of Breitbart News, a far-right American news, opinion, and commentary website noted for its connection to the alt-right."
